Through close collaboration with surgeons and clinical assessors, learners will develop professional behaviours, team ethics and essential teamwork skills for professional assisting.
The module is delivered using a multi‑modal approach to support flexible and effective learning, incorporating face‑to‑face teaching, online learning and simulated skills practice. Theoretical components include accountability, use of electrosurgery, consent, ethical and legal considerations, haemostasis, risk assessment, tissue and organ retraction and human factors among others.
